From Coach Drew

What level can my athlete play at? Find out.

It’s the #1 question parents ask Coach Drew. The CDRI Evaluation answers it with an honest, detailed read built on 27+ years of working with college coaches and placing 4,400+ players at D1, D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO schools. Then it gives your athlete the schools, the coaches and the exact email to reach them.

How the CDRI Evaluation works

Why I built it

“I don’t know what level my athlete can play at.”

That’s the question I’ve heard more than any other. Over 27 years in college baseball recruiting, I’ve advised 4,400+ athletes and helped secure over $350M in scholarships and tuition savings. Not every family needs a $2,000 consultant to get an honest read on where their athlete stands. They need clear answers:

  • What division level are they realistically projecting at today?
  • Which metrics (velo, exit velo, pop time, GPA) are holding them back?
  • Which schools fit them, and how do they reach their coaches?

That’s why I built Coach Drew’s Evaluation Desk. No fluff. Just the honest blueprint.

— Coach Drew

The expertise is the product

Parents don't want software. They want answers.

For 27 years, families have asked Coach Drew the same questions. His CDRI Evaluation answers them for your athlete, in one report.

Is my athlete a D1 prospect?
Why aren't they getting recruited?
Which schools are realistic?
What skills are holding them back?
Which coaches should we email?
Which metrics matter most?
How do they compare with players their age?
What should we work on next?

Parents

How many showcase invites have hit your inbox this month?

Before you spend $500–$1,000 on a camp, ask two questions:

1. Which college coaches are actually attending?
2. Do those programs fit your athlete's current metrics and GPA?

Don't waste thousands flying blind. Know their level, and the schools that fit them, before you spend on another event.

Current level → next level

Most recruiting advice stops at "Your athlete is a D3 prospect."

That doesn't help a high school athlete who wants to play D1 or D2. What parents actually need is the gap analysis: where they project today, their realistic next level, what's holding them back, and a step-by-step roadmap to get there. This sample uses a made-up player.

  4. Target D2 programs where academic money stacks

Who it’s for

The CDRI 60+ subject-line rule

The rule

To use “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line, a player must complete Coach Drew’s CDRI Evaluation and score 60 or higher.

No other service, camp or evaluation qualifies. It’s how college coaches know the player has been personally evaluated by Coach Drew.

College coaches open emails with “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line because they trust that the player is a real college prospect. To protect that trust for every family, the subject line is reserved for players who score at D3 / NAIA level or higher.

CDRI 60 or higher

They get their full CDRI Evaluation and the coach email, and they can use “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line.

Below 60?

They still get their full CDRI Evaluation, their matched schools and the CDRI coach email to send. They can’t use “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line until a re-evaluation shows a score of 60 or higher.

Questions

Before you apply

Is this a subscription?

No. The CDRI Evaluation is a one-time $79.95 fee. Nothing renews.

Who can use “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line?

Only players who complete Coach Drew’s CDRI Evaluation and score 60 or higher. No other service, camp or evaluation qualifies.

Why a 60+ score for the subject line?

Coaches open emails with “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line because they trust the player is a real college prospect. Reserving it for players who score at D3 / NAIA level or higher protects that trust for every family.

How do I receive their evaluation?

Within 3 business days, Coach Drew emails the parent and the player with their CDRI Evaluation (PDF), their school and coach list (Google Sheet, plus an Excel copy), the coach email ready to send, and their one-page Coach Summary (PDF).

Can we send the full evaluation to college coaches?

No. The full evaluation is for your family. It covers their weaknesses and your financial aid picture. Send coaches the one-page Coach Summary, which shows their CDRI score, metrics, academics, video and Coach Drew’s read.

What if my athlete scores below 60?

They still get their full CDRI Evaluation, their matched schools and the CDRI coach email to send. They just can’t use “Coach Drew’s Recruit” in the subject line until a re-evaluation shows a score of 60 or higher.

How long does it take?

Your full evaluation is delivered within 3 business days after payment.

What is the CDRI score?

The Coach Drew Recruiting Index rates your athlete from 0 to 100 across athletic ability, physical projection, baseball skills, academics, recruiting exposure and character. It shows their current level and how far they are from the next one.

What is your refund policy?

Full refund before your evaluation is delivered; no refunds after delivery. To request a refund, email necp.llc@gmail.com before your evaluation arrives.

How do I contact Coach Drew?

Email necp.llc@gmail.com. Coach Drew replies to every family.

Do you guarantee an offer?

No. Nobody honest can. The CDRI Evaluation gives you a realistic read, a plan and the right schools to contact. Results depend on effort, timing and program fit.

Does it work for transfers and JUCO players?

Yes. The evaluation adjusts for portal timing and transfer rules. Always confirm current NCAA rules with your school's compliance office.

What about D3 schools?

D3 schools don't give athletic scholarships, but strong students often receive significant academic and need-based aid. The evaluation flags those fits.
